We are a Bali-based team of seasoned eco-tech and community development specialists, that has been helping to empower people and their projects to implement a variety of practical solutions for sustainable development for more than 20 years.

Biological Design


Biologic Design was established in 1993 with the aim of creating integrated, multi-species constructed wetlands for sustainable wastewater purification, biodiversity enhancement and resource production.
We are a family-run design company working with a wide range of clients and specialise in the creation of constructed wetlands, which we call Wetland Ecosystem Treatment or WET Systems.

We believe that WET Systems, developed by Biologic Design, are the most cost effective, energy efficient and sustainable wastewater purification systems available.

The Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience (CAWR) is driving innovative, transdisciplinary research on the understanding and development of resilient food and water systems internationally. Food and water security is increasingly threatened by factors such as climate and environmental change, loss of biodiversity, conflict and market volatility. Our work spans across six different regions - GEN-Africa, GEN-Europe, GENOA in Oceania & Asia, GENNA in North America, CASA in Latin America and NextGEN for the future generations of the planet.

As a leading building and training social enterprise specialising in natural materials use, we provide exceptional straw bale building, design and training services across the UK, Europe and beyond. We are the UK lead partner in the acclaimed European pre-fabricated straw panel system Ecococon.

We are consultants, designers, educators, trainers and contract builders, dedicated to expanding knowledge and passionate about promoting the use of local materials, in the creation of healthy, high-performance and low carbon, sustainable spaces.

The Sun Orbit GmbH is a start-up company with headquarters in Hettingen, in the Swabian Alb. The company specializes in the production and sales, as well as the continuous development and perfecting of multifunctional solar systems for local autonomy in rural and urban environments.
